Stop seeking and you shall find

I started life as a church musician… Then I bucked the system, “threw away” a promising career there (and an expensive education!) and went into the business world-a world which I knew absolutely nothing about.

Needless to say, the road was not smooth.

But I persisted. All those years, just looking for my purpose… Looking for my passion. I wanted a way to make a living doing something I loved.

But I had no idea what that would be.

It never occurred to me in all that time that this “purpose” of mine I was looking for might behave a whole lot like a prospective client. And we all know what happens when you go “looking” for those. They run away!

In the end, I never did find much of anything.

Instead, it found me.

That’s not even true. It was always there. I simply couldn’t see it.

Each day there was a clue… but I was way too interested in ripping open the package to see what was on the inside to be grateful for the opportunity to watch it being opened slowly, right before my eyes.

Eventually I realized this clarity I was seeking wasn’t something that can be found. It is something that shows up when you are ready to receive it.

I could finally start to see it when I stopped looking so hard for it.

When I was able to live in that state of “not knowing” and actually be grateful for THAT, that’s when everything shifted.

That’s when I was able to keep my power despite particular life or business circumstances.

When you stop “needing” it to show up, it tends to show up.

This works with clients and it works with life.

Onward,
